Friends of Down Syndrome is a 501c3 nonprofit that operates an Academy. One of Houston’s Top programs for adults with Down syndrome. It is the kind of organization you dream of for your high school graduate. It may be hard to believe, but there are few (if any) programs that offer the kind of Academic and Vocational Training at affordable tuition rates. We teach classes for students diagnosed with Down syndrome: academics, physical fitness, speech, community engagement, life skills, vocational training, music, art, reading, math and social skills.
