As an AMS (American Montessori Society) school, we follow the curriculum and traditions established by Dr. Maria Montessori more than 100 years ago. More than simply a method of education, the Montessori approach fosters the development of the whole child: intellectually, physically, socially, morally and spiritually. Our goal at Armand Bayou Montessori School is, in the words of Maria Montessori, to “follow the child”. Each child learns and grows at his or her own pace.
