It Takes A Village Family of Schools, a Chicago-based network, has been dedicated since its founding in 2004 to transforming communities through high-quality, culturally responsive education and comprehensive social services. ITAV has gained recognition for its commitment to loving Black children and designing education tailored to meet their unique needs. Through partnerships and programs addressing physical, mental health, educational, employment, housing, and nutritional needs, making a significant impact in the community. This dedication led to the creation of It Takes A Village Leadership Academy, a private, K-8 school with a clear mission to create a more just and liberated world by supporting Black children and their families.
